Cozy Quarters is a home based on the quadrant system. Two opposing wings, the living and master bedroom, are 20 ft. wide. The kitchen is 22’ ft. wide and the garage is 24 ft. wide. The first floor ceiling heights are all 9’ tall, with an open vaulted ceiling in the living area extending to the second floor ceiling. This home design would be ideal for a post and beam, exposed-rafter building system. A large office space can be placed over the garage. This space could easily be revised into extra living space or an entertainment room. If there are budget constraints, this work can be performed at a later time. A dormer can be added to the upstairs’ bath, letting in light and second story views.
The exterior can be clad in concrete hardy board, vinyl or wood siding. An outside screened in sitting area off the living area overlooks exterior grounds and enables the homeowner easy access to the kitchen via the exterior deck. Add exterior seating in the deck’s gazebo area for further outdoor enjoyment.
